About Us
Brazzissimo is a ten-piece brass ensemble made up of musicians from around the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We have one mission in mind: To provide an exciting and entertaining musical experience for our audiences with a repertoire that embraces classical, jazz, Latin and popular music genres. Founded in 2001,we have performed in numerous venues throughout Northern California and even toured within China participating in the celebration of the country's 2004 International Heritage Festival.
Brass ensemble orchestration can be physically, technically and mentally demanding on each musician, not forgetting that each performer frequently plays a solo role. Brazzissimo is modeled after the successful Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, one of the first groups of this size formed in 1951.
